7 Healthy Snack Ideas

Hey Guys!
Hope you're all doing well. I've been kind of obsessed about my weight lately, which, I have to admit is quite bad. I know I'm skinny but with the tabloids showing you perfection, you can't help but wonder if you're doing anything wrong...


After hours of web and soul searching, I came to the conclusion that I don't exercise as much as I should... (my workout routine is pretty to close to none per week) and that I don't necessarily eat the healthiest food there is.


When I rummage through the existing snacks at home, I notice why my life is so unhealthy.
To be honest, yesterday I was craving an avocado, which would have been the perfect snack, but since I didn't find any, I had to go with 2 spoonfuls of peanut butter.

After I ate both, I made a list of healthy snacks that would be good for a healthier lifestyle.
And so I decided to share them with you!

#1 - An Avocado!


Avocados have the good kind of fat. *Hmm hmm* I have no idea what that means, but I've heard so many people say it.
Anyway, it's a vegetable, so it's probably good. Plus, it's pretty tasty and it makes you feel full for a while. 

#2 - An Apple!


Yes, we're starting out with fruits and vegetables. An apple a day, keeps the doc' away. Definitely.
Apples are definitely good. The perks of eating an apples is like a huge list, I didn't bother to completely read.

#3 - Granola bars.


Granola bars are tasty, healthy and they can be homemade.
I'll try and find a good recipe and add it to a post soon! 

#4 - Almonds.


A dietitian once told me that a handful of almonds per day is a must. 
Not only does it burn fat, but it also is good for preventing diseases.  

#5 - Smoothies!


Smoothies, not milkshakes. If you don't know a thing about smoothies, you can mix any three fruits, with ice and drink them (as I do).
I usually go with the basics: kiwis, bananas, oranges, berries...

#6 - Edamame 


A while ago, I posted the benefits of Edamame on my Instagram account.
I usually eat edamame after dinner. (Yes, one of my snacks is after dinner) 

#7 - Artichokes


I love eating artichokes with a simple dip of oil and lemon.
The way I do it, is pretty easy. I boil some water an put the artichokes in it.
