Alone VS Lonely - #RomanticThursdays10:14:00 AM
Let's put the dictionary aside for this one. And let's discuss it with rationality and logic.
There's a huge difference between being alone and being lonely and people sometimes merge the both and it creates a VERY bad result.
Let's get one thing straight, no matter how invincible, independent and narcissist you are, you need people.
Aristotle once said - 'the human is a social animal' and you have no idea how right this saying was, is and always will be.
People need people.
That's when Alone VS Lonely kicks in.
'Alone' is a state of time. Alone is being on your own. No one is around you. Your 'me-time'. It's your one-on-one time with yourself. You have people in your life that you can count on, that you can trust. They are just not with you when you're alone. You are physically not surrounded by people.
'Lonely' is a feeling. There might be a thousand of people around you but you feel like you're - alone. Lonely, with a dash of sadness, can turn into a huge disaster. Lonely is not having someone you trust, it's dealing with everything on your own. It's not knowing where to go when you are in need of a friend.
Here's how I explain it.
This is the moment when you realize how important it is to have a soul you can trust.
You need 'alone' in your life but you're working on removing 'lonely' from your life.
There's the beauty of being 'Alone' that is exquisite, it's a must, a need.
Don't ever underestimate the importance of being ALONE.
